MMD™ ELISA for ovarian malignancy

Early detection of ovarian cancer is currently not accurate and in most cases not possible. Aurelium’s *MMDTM ELISA ovarian test measures the levels of six different proteins from ovarian tumors using a simple and accurate immunochemical test to determine the presence of these proteins in the sample. This test is in its final phase of validation, after which it will be available at points of care, and as a specific request from a clinical practitioner (family doctor). 

The MMD™ ovarian test is accurate with tissue-based sensitivity and specificity of 98%. Full approval and commercialization is expected in 2008.

Results of this test are obtained within one day.
