MMD™ QPCR for ovarian malignancy

Aurelium’s *MMD™ QPCR Ovarian test measures the levels of six different genes in tumor cells using a simple and highly sensitive real-time PCR test.  This test utilizes a small blood or tissue biopsy to determine the cancerous nature of the test material.  Current assessment of the malignancy nature of an ovarian tissue sample using this test is 98% accurate. The MMD™ QPCR ovarian test is the only objective molecular diagnostic test near full commercialization.  This test can be performed at a point of care (hospital) or as a specific request from a clinical practitioner (family doctor).

Full approval and commercialization is expected in 2008.
